Hosted by Francis Rose, the platform features expert interviews, trend analysis, and insights about government operations. It aims to foster collaboration between government and industry to address critical challenges.Role DescriptionFed Gov Today is seeking a high-performing intern to support content production, digital strategy, and executive engagement across our national media platform focused on government and technology.This is a hands-on role for someone who wants meaningful responsibility—not observation. You will contribute directly to content that reaches senior leaders across the federal government and industry.We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in media, public sector issues, and storytelling.What You’ll DoSupport the production and distribution of video, audio, and digital content across Fed Gov Today platformsCreate and schedule social media content, including writing posts and clipping short-form videoResearch senior government and industry leaders to support show development and interview preparationAssist with guest booking, including outreach, coordination, and schedulingHelp manage content workflows, including organizing assets and preparing materials for publicationContribute ideas for content, segment development, and audience growthWhat We’re Looking ForStrong writing ability with attention to tone, clarity, and professionalismDemonstrated interest in media, communications, journalism, or public sector topicsHighly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlinesSelf-starter who takes initiative and follows throughComfortable working in a fast-paced, professional environmentFamiliarity with LinkedIn and professional social media platformsExperience with video editing (Adobe Premiere, CapCut, etc.) is a strong plusWhat Sets You ApartPrior internship or campus media experienceExperience creating content (video, social, blog, or podcast)Interest in government, policy, or technologyDetailsHours: 15–20 hours per weekLocation: Hybrid (Northern Virginia / Washington, DC preferred)Duration: 10–12 weeks (flexible based on candidate)Compensation: Paid hourly
