Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of transportation activities at the site to ensure on-time delivery service to our customers. Effectively communicates with sales, planning, and supply chain partners to ensure a detailed and accurate exchange of information. This hourly position reports directly to the Commercial Operations Sr. Manager. Along with other employees, the Logistics Coordinator actively participates in safety audits to ensure a safe workplace.Key ResponsibilitiesCreate and update shipping schedules for EAM, manage available capacity and accommodate customer/carrier/shipping needs for both prepaid and customer routed freightWork with shipping personnel, suppliers, and purchasing to ensure routing guide compliance and processes requests for authorized expedited shipments.Maintain raw material logs and audit outbound shipment paperworkPrepare audit, costing and supply or inventory reports as neededBe an effective liaison between operations, sales, and the site transportation providers as needed.Daily internal communication with loading/ forklift driversPrepares documents for COA'sBook requests in Expeditor portalCheck port system updatesAssist carriers with setting appointmentsInvestigate shipping/roll issuesApply overrun inventory to prime orders to reduce/cycle inventory to prevent rolls aging, and provide list of rolls needing to be culledInventory commodities and participate in physical roll inventory auditsRequest quotes for sample shipments and manage the loading and labeling activities.Perform lab calibration of critical instruments based on the Critical Instrument list frequencySchedules and manages yearly calibrations of production scales and lab equipmentOther assignments within scope as deemed necessaryRequired Qualifications/Professional ExperiencesYears of Experience/Education/Certifications:Associates degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a Business-related field, or equivalent experience.Advanced PC Skills such as: MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.Ability to interface and work across all levels within the organization.Preferred Qualifications/Professional Experiences/Years of Experience:* Working knowledge of Solstice or similar system is preferred.* 1+ year experience in Transportation or Logistics roleCritical Competencies for Success (Leadership, Technical, Innovation and Work Complexity):Detail orientedAble to multi-task, with advanced time management skills to meet deadlinesExcellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skillsAble to work independentlyAbility to interface and work well across all levels internally as well as external customersPhysical Requirements:ActivityFrequency0%1% - 25%26% - 75%76% -100%Lift up to _25__lbs.*Stand*Walk*Sit*Use hands to handle or touch*Reach above shoulders*Climb or balance*Working at heights (wear safety harness)*Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl*Talk or listen*Use foot/feet to operate machine*Personal Protective Equipment:PPEFrequency0%1% - 25%26% - 75%76% -100%Wear respirator*Wear safety shoe*Wear earplugs/muffs*Wear eye protection (glasses, goggles or face shield)*Wear hand protection (gloves)*Wear head protection (hard hat or bump cap)*Wear fire protection (arc flashing clothing)*Nearest Major Market: Brunswick
