About the organization West Sixth Brewing is a craft brewery headquartered in Lexington, KY, with additional taprooms in Louisville, Frankfort, and Northern Kentucky. We focus on producing the highest quality, fresh, delicious craft beer, and sharing it with others by distributing it to other restaurants and bars in the Central Kentucky area. We were the first brewery to can its beer in Kentucky, and distribute flagship and seasonal beers to stores throughout the Commonwealth and across the river in Cincinnati, OH. About the Position: Covington Haus Bartender (Part-Time) A key part of our business, our taprooms are often the first place that people experience West Sixth Brewing and our beers. Because of this, we truly believe that the experience must be fantastic -- from the service they receive, to the beers they drink, to the space they drink it in. We're looking for a part-time Bartender for our Covington Haus taproom. Bartenders will be responsible for providing excellent service to customers in the taprooms, representing our company in a positive manner and helping to grow our West Sixth Covington Haus taproom. Day to day activities Providing excellent service to customers while showcasing an extensive knowledge of our products and brand Cleaning and maintaining work space Fulfilling opening and closing duties, as needed Maintaining communication (in person and digital via slack/email, etc) with Taproom Manager and other co-workers, and staying up to date on events and info necessary to provide excellent service in the Taproom Covington Haus bartenders will report to the Covington Haus Taproom Manager. Skills required Excellent personal communication skills Attention to detail 100% reliability Honesty and Integrity Proactive personality A basic familiarity in using the web and other technology The ability to lift 55 pounds Time flexibility outside of established work schedule for meetings, etc. The ability to taste our beers and describe them to customers.
