Role Overview: As the Manager of Pharmacy Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing staff, operations, systems, and resources to ensure the delivery of safe and efficient pharmacy services. You will play a key role in maintaining compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements while fostering a high level of employee engagement. Key Responsibilities: Lead the daily operations of the Pharmacy, ensuring safe and effective services. Manage IV admixture services, ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory standards. Develop and update policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and best practices. Monitor and improve pharmacy workflows, promoting continuous improvement and safety. Oversee drug diversion prevention, ensuring strict adherence to policies. Handle all responsibilities related to sterile and non-sterile compounding as defined by regulatory bodies. Manage pharmacy automation, including monitoring and process improvement. Design and execute departmental performance improvement activities focused on safety and regulatory compliance. Provide corrective actions for performance issues and medication management events. Manage staff schedules to ensure optimal workflow and coverage. Oversee drug procurement, storage, inventory management, and dispensing procedures. Participate in committees and provide recommendations for pharmacy operations. Coordinate staff training, education programs, and evaluations. Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies regarding medication management. Maintain a working knowledge of staff duties and provide coverage when needed. Qualifications: Experience in hospital pharmacy operations, including leadership in projects and initiatives. Sterile IV compounding experience. Previous managerial or supervisory experience in a healthcare setting. Doctorate Degree in Pharmacy (or equivalent education and experience). Active PA Pharmacist License.
