Queen Mary Hotel - Uniform Attendant
Part-time position. Must be available weekends and holidays. Must know how to sew & tailor, if not willing to learn.The Uniform Attendant is responsible for ensuring proper receipt and distribution of clean, pressed uniforms for team members to maintain a well-groomed appearance. QUALIFICATIONS:High school graduate or equivalent preferredPrevious uniform room experience preferredGood organization skills for tracking uniform inventory.Operation of different types of equipment (i.e. dry cleaning machine, washing machine, phone, dryer, presser, etc.).Ability to comprehend and follow instructions from supervisor.Basic ability to comprehend English language sufficient to understand and communicate information for reasons such as safety and security, e.g. Product safety labels and emergency instructionsJOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Receive and issue all uniforms. Issue all uniforms on an exchange basis only, in order to maintain uniform control. Store old uniforms until otherwise directed by supervisorWash and Iron Team members and guest clothing.Accept laundry from team members, verify, count and inventory what was collected.Prepare dry cleaning and laundry lists. Send and receive dry cleaning and laundry for processing.Press Shower curtains and banquets skirting.Delivers guest requests of towels and shampoo and other misc. items., this may also include shining of shoes.Occasionally makes beds in guest rooms and clean bathrooms when shorthanded on room attendants.Sew on buttons and make minor repairs to uniforms.Make repairs to linens and bedspreads as requested.Other duties as assigned, such as assisting other staff in uniform room.Clean rooms as assigned by supervisor on occasion.After an initial waiting period, those hired into full time positions are eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes the following: Now offering Daily Pay!
