BCIS Kindergarten & 1st Grade Jumpstart Summer Program - Teachers (4) Program Goal: Students entering Barnstable Community Innovation School kindergarten and 1st grade will be invited to participate in a summer session to prepare these students and their families for the Kindergarten and 1st Grade, school routines, expected behaviors, supports available, and allay fears. Position: Teachers Job Description: Teachers will: Introduce entering Kindergarten students to the classroom setting, routines, and expectationsModel expected behaviors in the classroomPlan, prepare and deliver jumpstart curriculum & daily activitiesProvide student data to Program CoordinatorTour the school building, including cafeteria and gymnasiumProgram staff will report to school and/or program administration and follow participating students' progress Program duration and anticipated scheduleAugust 3, 2026 - August 13,2026Monday through Thursday, 8:30am - 12:30pm (4 hrs/day)4 Hours Program Preparation/Orientation1 Hour of End of Program Clean Up Time(37 Hours Total) QualificationsAppropriate certification and/or educational backgroundStrong planning and organizational skills Reports to: Principal and Program Coordinator Position Type: Summer Positions Available: 4 Salary: Per Contract
