Data Center Technician*Location:* On-Site*Schedule:* 12-Hour Shifts | Alternating 3-Day/4-Day Work WeeksBuild and Support Critical Data Center Infrastructure Our client is seeking a motivated *Data Center Technician *to support the hardware infrastructure that powers large-scale computing environments. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in computer hardware, networking, or Linux systems who enjoy hands-on technical work and troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues. You'll work alongside experienced technicians to install, maintain, and repair servers and networking equipment while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.What You'll DoDiagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve server and network hardware issuesPerform hardware replacements, upgrades, and repairs on data center equipmentConduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve infrastructure problemsMonitor and maintain data center systems to ensure optimal performance and uptimeExecute hardware installation, rack-and-stack, and cabling activitiesUtilize command-line tools and diagnostics to identify system issuesDocument repairs, maintenance activities, and troubleshooting effortsEscalate complex issues and collaborate with cross-functional teams when neededFollow operational procedures and safety guidelines while working in a live data center environmentContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellenceRequired QualificationsMinimum 1 year of computer hardware experienceMinimum 1 year of networking experienceMinimum 1 year of Linux operating system experienceStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsAbility to communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesDemonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detailStrong teamwork and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracyPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and work throughout the shiftComfortable working at elevated heights when necessaryAbility to work in an active data center environment with varying temperaturesWork Schedule This position follows a rotating schedule consisting of alternating 3-day and 4-day work weeks with 12-hour shifts.Please note that schedules may be adjusted based on business needs and can include:Extended shifts when requiredAlternate shift assignmentsNight shift opportunitiesOther schedule modifications with advance notice whenever possiblePreferred QualificationsPrevious data center operations experienceExperience supporting enterprise servers and networking equipmentFamiliarity with rack-and-stack deploymentsExperience working in mission-critical environmentsKnowledge of structured cabling and infrastructure best practicesWhy Join Our Client?
