Accounts Payable Clerk
POSITION OBJECTIVES The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing and recording vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and maintaining organized financial records. This role supports the accounting department by verifying transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standardsKEY RESPONSIBILITIESCompleting payments and controlling expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoicesEnsuring outstanding balances are updated with credit memos that are dueEnter, verifying and reconcile expense reports and company credit cards using company-specific accounting softwareVerifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactionsMaintaining historical records of all invoices, reports, receipts, and cheques by saving documents properly on the networkConfirming all monthly invoices are recorded for corporate entities and various subsidiariesRequirementsREQUIREMENTS: DEGREEBachelor's or Associates degree preferred in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experienceREQUIREMENTS: EXPERIENCEA high school diploma or equivalent2+ years on Accounts Payable team in a corporate environment with multiple subsidiariesAbility to use enterprise-level financial record-keeping software systems (Great Plains & NetSuite)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to complete a high volume of work within deadlinesExcellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skillsGood problem-solving skillsBasic knowledge of basic accounting conceptsStrong attention to detailExcellent skills in Microsoft Office programs with high degree of proficiency in ExcelInternal customer service minded attitudeAbility to communicate effectively across multiple mediumsREQUIREMENTS: PHYSICALAbility to remain in a stationary seated or standing position for various increments of timeAble to move about to access a variety of tools and office equipmentAble to consistently operate a computer or other electronic deviceAble to ascend or descend a ladder, crouch or crawlAbility to lift up to 50 lbs, lift over head, twist and turn body when appropriateMust be able to communicate clearly through both verbal and written formSalary Description
