Position : Psych Float RN Location : Holyoke, MA 01040 Shift : Evenings (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm) (every other weekend/every other holiday); charge required (considered to be included in all-inclusive rate) Duration : 13 Weeks SUMMARY Schedule: Full-time- includes every other weekend Must be willing to float and take charge. (No multiplier for charge) Behavioral Health Center is seeking health care professionals who inspire. A new Behavioral Health Hospital will be opening its doors in Western Massachusetts for individuals in need of psychiatric, emotional and substance use treatments in the Spring of 2021! Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse (RN) is an active participant in the health care team who provides direct and indirect care to patients/families/legal guardians. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu grounded in Behavioral Health Center core principles. The Registered Nurse (RN) works collaboratively as a member of the multi-disciplinary treatment team and contributes to each patient’s individual treatment plan by helping develop, implement, and document appropriate goals and interventions, informed by patient strengths and presenting psychiatric problems. Qualifications: Education: RN license within the State of Massachusetts required; BSN preferred. Experience: Previous psychiatric / substance inpatient experience preferred. CPR certification required. Restraint Reduction de-escalation / crisis intervention experience preferred. Skills: The successful candidate will demonstrate ability to use critical thinking to make decisions and solve problems; have an advanced level knowledge of Behavior Health and Substance Abuse treatment modalities; applies nursing process from a Trauma Informed Recovery model of care; ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries; effective oral and written communication; sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Medical Record; crisis management, time management, delegating, coaching and team building skills; and be flexible, creative and able to manage stressful situations in a calm, organized and professional manner We are an elite team of psychiatric professionals that believe: · We must always champion our patients. · We work as part of a collaborative, empowered team in a non-judgmental environment. · We have a voice that is welcomed, encouraged, and respected. · We do what needs to be done to support one another.
