Sr. Director of Loan Operations - RELOCATION AVAILABLE

Job Description We are seeking a Senior Director, Loan Operations to lead and optimize our end-to-end mortgage and lending lifecycle. This is a senior leadership role with direct accountability for mortgage origination, processing, closing, servicing, and default management across our loan portfolio. You will own the full production and fulfillment pipeline from application through post-close while driving operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional client experience.Responsibilities:• Own end-to-end mortgage origination strategy including pipeline management, production targets, and fulfillment quality• Oversee loan processing and underwriting operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to guidelines• Direct the mortgage closing and funding process in coordination with title companies, attorneys, and internal stakeholders• Drive volume and profitability targets through operational excellence and process discipline• Lead delinquency management, foreclosure prevention, and loss mitigation programs• Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements including CFPB, FHA, and VA guidelines• Oversee collections strategies and charge-off recovery efforts while maintaining regulatory adherence• Manage all post-closing servicing activities including payment processing, escrow administration, and account management• Ensure servicing operations meet regulatory standards and deliver a high-quality borrower experience• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across origination, servicing, and default functions• Build a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence• Drive automation, workflow improvements, and cost-saving initiatives across the loan operations platform• Ensure adherence to all federal and state regulatory requirements and mitigate operational riskQualifications: • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in mortgage or loan operations, with demonstrated accountability for origination functions• Proven experience managing teams across mortgage production and/or servicing• Deep knowledge of the end-to-end mortgage lifecycle — origination, processing, closing, servicing, and default• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements including RESPA, TILA, HMDA, CFPB, FHA, and VA guidelines• Track record of driving operational efficiency, process improvement, and cost reduction at scale• Experience at a bank, credit union, or mortgage company preferred• Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree a plusCompany DescriptionNuHire, LLC is a direct placement recruiting firm dedicated to helping candidates find long term permanent positions, NOT short term contracts.
