Job Title: Software Test Engineer (C#)Pay Rate: $28.11 - 33.07/hrDuration: 12 monthsJob Requisition: SJP00031218Location: Johnson City, TNWork Schedule: On-site 5 days per week for the first several months, and thereafter, a possibility of a hybrid schedule (3 days per week onsite)Shift: 9AM - 5PM (Monday to Friday - 40 Hours a Week)This position is for the Factory Automation division.We are looking for an entry-level Software Test EngineerPrimary responsibility will be to implement and test solutions on a Windows-based C# desktop application used for testing of firmware for complex embedded runtime environments used in industrial automation productsDevelop test programs using C#Completes the development of software test requirements for modules under development.Executes software (unit and integration) tests.Agile/Lean software development process.Reviews relevant requirements, standards, and other documentation to clarify and understand software engineering requirements.Adheres to the software quality process through the execution of module, subsystem, and system test procedures.Collaborate with team members to analyze requirements and define test casesEvaluate the testability of requirements and provide feedbackIdentify potential technical issues or design flawsCommunicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders, including developers, support staff, technical writers, project managers, and QA personnelRequirements:A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering is required.1+ year of relevant experience.Programming experience in C# is required.Object-oriented programming experience is required.Experience or knowledge of developing test automation applicationsLinux programming experience is a big wish, but not absolutely required.Knowledge in testing firmware for complex embedded runtime environments is a plus. Experience with Industrial Automation and systems Motion is a plusUsing Industrial Automation systems: Motion controls, I/Os, etc., are plusesStrong attention to detail and a solid work ethicSelf-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
