Perfectly positioned between Milwaukee and Madison, the branch sits within a 10-minute drive of more than 70,000 residents. While Lake Country communities are often associated with affluence, that perception masks meaningful need. Local school districts report that approximately 15% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, underscoring the presence of families who experience financial strain despite living in an overall prosperous area. In this environment, the YMCA serves as a bridge—ensuring that access to health, childcare, youth development, and community connection is not determined by income or circumstance. The second branch, the Schultz Family YMCA, serves the greater Watertown area, a community of more than 30,000 residents. Originally opened 15 years ago in a repurposed school building, the YMCA recently completed a successful capital campaign, opening a new, purpose-built facility in November 2025. Watertown’s school district reports that approximately 37% of students receive free or reduced-price lunch, reflecting a significantly higher level of economic need. At the same time, Watertown is experiencing a renaissance as one of the few rural population centers in the region showing positive growth and revitalization. The YMCA plays a central role in this transformation—providing a welcoming gathering place, supporting working families, strengthening youth outcomes, and contributing to the community’s long-term vitality.Across both communities, the Glacial Community YMCA operates at the intersection of opportunity and need. Whether in Lake Country or Watertown, the YMCA serves as a trusted, inclusive institution—responding to local realities, strengthening social cohesion, and ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, has access to the resources and relationships needed to thrive.Information SitesCity/County WebsiteCity of Oconomowoc: https://www.oconomowoc-wi.gov/City of Watertown: https://www.watertownwi.gov/Chamber of CommerceOconomowoc Chamber: https://oconomowoc.org/Watertown Chamber: https://www.watertownchamber.com/University/CollegeWaukesha Area Technical College: https://www.wctc.edu/Carroll University: https://www.carrollu.edu/Maranatha Baptist University: https://www,mbu.eduHospital/Health SystemWatertown Regional Medical Center: https://www.watertownregional.com/Aurora Healthcare-Summit: https://www.aurorahealthcare.org/locations/hospital/aurora-medical-center-summitPro Healthcare-Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital: https://www.prohealthcare.org/Greater Watertown Community Health Foundation: https://watertownhealthfoundation.com/School SystemOconomowoc Area Schools: https://www.oasd.k12.wi.us/Watertown Schools: https://www.watertown.k12.wi.us/Salary, Benefits, & CriteriaSalary Hiring Range: $175k to $190k annually.BenefitsYMCA Retirement (8% paid by Y, employee amount voluntary) contribution once eligibility is met.YMCA 403B savings account 100% employee contribution.Health plan (60% paid by Y for HDHP 3000, 75% paid by Y for HDHP 4000 – both Y Mutual plans).Dental/Vision plan also available at nominal charge.Paid Time Off (PTO): Variable hours/pay period per personnel policy.Other benefits per personnel policy.Residency Expectation: Living in the YMCA’s greater service area is required.SEARCH PROCESS TARGET DATESResumes accepted through: 6/15/2026Preliminary interviews scheduled: 8/5/26 and 8/6/26In-person interviews:8/24/26 and 8/25/26New CEO on board (anticipated): October 2026dates subject to changeHow To ApplyReferences, Background Check, and Organizational Leader Certification:Candidates must submit (pdf format only) the following in their online application: a resume, cover letter.
