Logistics Operations Manager

As the Operations Manager, you will oversee our local account, ensuring smooth multi-stop deliveries for both day and night shift drivers. Your focus will be on upholding safety standards, maintaining compliance, and providing exceptional service.
Required Skills and Abilities
Five years of experience managing transportation operations
Taking ownership of the success of the operations, available to receive phone calls and solve problems day and night unless time is scheduled off.
Must be an effective communicator -- It is imperative to be successful in this position to be able to:
Clearly communicate issues to our customers
Instruct drivers, following up on details and seeing tasks through to completion
Be attentive and thorough in satisfying customer and employee needs
Problem-solving skills and creative thinking

Collaborating and listening to other ideas
Practical solutions that address the customer’s operational and financial needs first
Able to make decisions independently when necessary
Must be organized
Prioritizing tasks
Creative ideas on how to improve processes and manage workflow
Safety oriented
Understanding of CSA and DOT compliance
Knowledge of DOT files and basic hiring practices
Routing software and e-logging knowledge is a plus
Computer skills: Office suite; Email; Understanding databases; Android-based smartphones or tablets
Must be able to work weekends and nights as needed.
