Senior Refrigeration Specialist

Job SummaryThe Sr. Refrigeration Specialist position will exercise business acumen and independent judgement to complete all critical refrigeration reactive, planned, and capital projects work orders from inception to completion and ensure the work orders are completed within scope, within budget, and on time. The progress of the work orders should be communicated directly or indirectly through CMMS platform to the client or other stake holders.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesDefines, implements, assesses, and acts upon metrics to manage assigned projects related to commercial refrigeration work orders from initiation to completion. Communicates to both internal/external stakeholders, such as District/Regional Store Manager(s), Contractors, and/or Operations Department on project statuses. Develops and monitors project timelines, budgets, identifies areas of concerns and risks. Creates, presents, and enacts possible solutionsLeverages decision frameworks and exercises sound judgment and independent decision making. Continuously generates new ideas to gain operational efficiencies by being adaptable and flexible to multiple, diverse, and changing demands. Acts with integrity and authenticityEnsures service partners performance concerns/issues are resolved in a timely manner and meets or exceeds client's expectationsResolves client high priority escalations immediately. Proactively involves any additional both internal or external parties needed to eliminate further delay in work order resolutionPrepares proposal documents (inclusive of exhibits for projects, cost plan, contract terms with general contractors, timeline, etc.) for bids and administers contract requirementsPrepares monthly financial closes and assists with client's quarterly business reviews. Completes internal reporting of service and operational metricsParticipates and fosters a work environment that is based on openness, trust, communication and teamworkOther duties as assigned by cognizant supervision to include after hours, weekend, and holiday supportTravel to locations to assess challenging sites via car, train, or airplane to solution the issues with any/or all of the following: client, service partner, manufacturer, engineer, etc.QualificationsBA/BS from an accredited college or university or equivalent in education and work experienceMinimum of 10 years' experience managing refrigeration projects in a facilities maintenance, property management or a business-to-business customer service role (customer facing or over the phone). Experience in low temp refrigeration is requiredBilingual in Spanish/English (Written and Spoken), preferredMicrosoft Excel & Word. Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), preferredStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong analytical skills with attention to detail and results oriented work ethicDemonstrated achievement of meeting objectives and standardsLeverages decision frameworks and exercises sound judgementExcellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multitask and execute work with competing prioritiesAbility to thrive in a changing environment utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills and adjust priorities to meet deadlines for customers and suppliersStrong ability to build and maintain relationships with both internal and external customers to exceed customer expectationsDemonstrates willingness to provide feedback to management on process improvements; willingness to learn from feedback and experience and changes their behavior as a resultProfessional and friendly demeanor with a customer- oriented attitudeFollow customer-specific policies and procedures. Handle multiple customers and take responsibility for following proceduresPhysical DemandsMust be able to remain in a stationary position. Constantly operates a computer, phone, copy machine and printerWork EnvironmentMust have flexibility and adaptability in work schedule in order to serve a broad base of clients in multiple time zones with locations operations seven days a week.
