Join a collaborative imaging team near Chicago.Job DetailsPosition:Travel Radiologic Technologist / Interventional Radiology TechnologistWeekly Estimated Pay:$2,710 - $2,920Location:Winfield, Illinois (60190) – Chicago suburb; Illinois radiology jobContract Duration:12 weeks (May 4, 2026 – July 27, 2026)Shift:Day shifts, 4x10-hour (07:00 – 17:30); 40 hours/weekCall Requirements:Rotating call with staff (7–9 days per six-week schedule; weekend call every 5th weekend)Patient Age Groups:Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, GeriatricsVolume / Rooms:~40 visits/day; 7 procedure roomsOrientation:40 hours of paid orientation provided at the start of the assignmentRequired QualificationsMinimum 1 year direct experience as a Radiologic Technologist / Radiology Tech; Interventional Radiology experience preferredGraduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program or Associate Degree in Applied SciencesARRT certification (registered technologist)IEMA licensure (Illinois)BLS through American Heart AssociationACLS through American Heart Association (within 6 months of hire)Experience with Epic electronic health record and Omnicell medication systemsAbility to participate in a rotating call scheduleCOVID-19 and annual flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only for COVID-19)Preferred:2+ years’ IR/cath lab experience, BS in Radiologic Sciences, prior charge/supervisory experience, minimum 1 year in active interventional cardiac cath, NeuroIR, IR, or EP labsKey ResponsibilitiesPerform a broad range of interventional radiology procedures including biopsies, central venous catheters (CVC), PICC placement, tunneled hemodialysis catheters, fistulograms, angiograms, paracentesis, thoracentesis, drain placements, ureteral stents, nephrostomy tubes, thrombectomies, thrombolysis, Y-90 treatments, embolizations, and other IR proceduresAssist in diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures (IABP, IVUS, Impella) and support hybrid cases when requiredOperate and maintain specialized imaging equipment including Siemens single- and bi-plane C-Arms and GE ultrasound; perform fluoroscopy safelyMaintain sterile field, scrub and assist during procedures, and adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocolsProvide compassionate patient care across all age groups; monitor and prioritize patient safety and comfortAccurately document procedures, imaging, and patient information in Epic (electronic medical record)Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: physicians, nurses, respiratory therapy, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and transportParticipate in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing in-service training during assigned shiftsWhy Join Our Healthcare TeamWork in a modern interventional radiology suite with high procedural volume and experienced staffCompetitive weekly pay for travel radiology technologist jobsOpportunity to gain diverse IR and cath lab experience (NeuroIR, Cardiac, Vascular)Easy commute to the Chicago metro area with suburban living in Winfield (60190)Apply nowto join our Winfield, IL imaging team as a Travel Radiologic Technologist – Interventional Radiology.
