As part of CISA IT’s broader consolidation and modernization strategy, this role directly contributes to the establishment of a centralized patching core team—a strategic initiative to standardize, streamline, and fortify patch management across multi‑cloud Windows environments. This position plays a key role in enhancing cybersecurity posture, improving operational efficiency, and driving consistent, proactive patching practices across CISA IT systems.Job Responsibilitiessupport the design, deployment, and sustainment of enterprise Windows environmentshelp build a unified, automated patching capabilityStandardize patch processes across CISA environmentsPrioritize critical updates aligned with CISA IT cybersecurity objectivesLeverage automation to reduce manual effort and increase consistencySupport metrics, transparency, and continuous improvementEngineer the design and implementation of standardized patching methodologies across AWS, AZURE, Google Cloud environmentsAutomate patch identification and deployment using tools such as AWS System Manager Patch ManagerPrioritize and execute critical updates in alignment with CISA IT Patch Management GuidelinesAssist in baseline assessments to identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunitiesParticipate in efforts to refine patching workflows, metrics, and operational processesIntegrate AWS, AZURE and Google native services to enhance performance, resilience, and scalability of patching and DevOps infrastructureEvaluate and implement AI capabilities to automate patch management processesContribute to enterprise cloud and DevOps standards, guidelines, and best practicesServe as a central conduit between DOMino teams, government sponsors, and tenants during patching cyclesEstablish and track metrics such as patch compliance, deployment timelines, and automation achievementsParticipate in weekly/bi‑weekly reviews to ensure alignment with evolving operational prioritiesSupport iterative improvements based on stakeholder feedback and operational data.Required SkillsMust be a US CitizenMust have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearanceMust be able to obtain DHS Suitability8+ years of applicable, hands-on experienceExpertise with Windows Server 2022/2025 and administration.Experience building and securing Windows ServersExperience with Cloud Patch Management AdministrationDesired SkillsAWS, AZURE, Google experience, including understanding of the Well‑Architected Framework; AWS, AZURE or Google Cloud certification preferredExperience with ServiceNow and SharePoint ServerAdvanced experience with Windows Server 2022/2025Required EducationBachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related technical field.
