Travel Occupational Therapist - Inpatient

American Traveler is hiring a licensed Occupational Therapist for an inpatient behavioral health unit, requiring experience in a behavioral therapy setting and proficiency with cognitive assessments including MoCA, SLUMS, and CPT.Job Details• Inpatient acute care setting within a behavioral health unit,• 8-bed unit focused on behavioral health,• Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts (7:00 AM-3:00 PM or 8:00 AM-4:00 PM),• No weekend or on-call requirements,• Patient care includes 1:1 sessions and structured group therapy,• Cognitive assessments performed include MoCA (Montreal Cognitive Assessment), SLUMS (St. Louis University Mental Status Exam), and CPT (Cognitive Performance Testing),• Charting performed in Epic EMR,• 14-week assignment,Job Requirements• Active OTR/L license in state of practice required; license required if applicable,• Minimum 2 years of experience required; new graduates with behavioral health fieldwork experience or a strong interest in behavioral therapy will be considered,• Experience in a behavioral therapy setting preferred; fieldwork experience in behavioral health is a plus,• Proficiency with cognitive assessment tools: MoCA, SLUMS, and CPT,• Active BLS certification required (AHA only),• Epic EMR experience required,• Strong active listening, communication, activity analysis and adaptation, psychological knowledge, and group therapy facilitation skills,• Two professional references required: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and one from a peer or supervisor in the specialty within the last 3 years,• Active certifications must be submitted with application - no pending certifications accepted,Additional Information• Prepare and lead a minimum of 2 structured group therapy sessions per day, with 1:1 sessions conducted as needed,• Conduct cognitive assessments (MoCA, SLUMS, CPT) when ordered by the treatment team,• One-week orientation provided alongside the lead therapist,• Pewter scrubs or business casual dress code required,• Candidates with a permanent address within 80 miles of the facility are eligible but may be subject to a reduced pay rate,
