Corrosion Technician - CP-2
Ryan Construction Services is looking for an experienced AMPP/NACE CP-2Corrosion Professional to assume a leadership role in our Corrosion Services Group. This position reports to the VP- Corrosion Services and will be responsible for field services and management of Corrosion related projects.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Corrosion CP-2:
Help in the planning and supervision Corrosion/Cathodic Protection projects
Oversee CP projects in the field to successfully complete within budget, including final reports.
Act as the Crew Leader for technicians and field personnel assigned to the projects.
Act as direct interface with customer on assigned projects or customer accounts.
Assist in cost estimation, proposal development and coordination of corrosion related projects.
Analyze material and structure layout to conceive most appropriate design.
Prepare specifications for material and execution.
Estimate cost to furnish and install materials.
Reduce raw field data to tables and/or charts
Prepare final reports and technical recommendations.
Assist in the design of cathodic protection and corrosion control systems.
Create customer project reports and analyze field data on a daily basis.
Recommend modifications to designs as needed.
Apply comprehensive engineering principles and corrosion theory to prepare supporting mathematical calculations and design plans.
Prepare corrosion design drawings for final drafting.
Complete customer invoices for submittal to accounts receivable on a project basis.
Perform economic evaluations of alternative methods of cathodic protection and corrosion control.
Qualifications
NACE CP Technician CP-2.
Ability to obtain a NACE CP Technologist, CP-3, within 2 - 5 years.
3-5 years Cathodic Protection project experience.
Strong project management and problem-solving background.
Ability to become Veriforce Evaluator qualified.
Must travel to client sites as needed within a 7 state area.
Able to perform any necessary field surveys, testing, evaluations as required.
Pass a pre-employment drug test and possess a clean driving record.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
