About Giggle Grove AcademyWe are a brand-new daycare and preschool opening in September 2025 in Hillsboro, Oregon, serving children ages 4 months to 6 years. Our program blends nurturing care with a STEM-based, Montessori-inspired, and play-based curriculum to spark curiosity and a love of learning in every child.We believe in nurturing curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills from an early age. Through hands-on exploration, structured routines, and individualized attention, our classrooms help children grow socially, emotionally, and academically.We are seeking passionate, dedicated Lead Teachers, Assistant Teachers, and Infant Teachers to join our educational team. You will play a crucial role in shaping each child's developmental journey, guiding them through engaging, hands-on learning experiences and helping them build the foundation for lifelong learningand foundational skills in science, technology, engineering, math, literacy, creativity, and social-emotional growth.Why Join Us?Be part of an exciting new school launchWork with a Montessori and STEM-inspired curriculumSupportive leadership and collaborative team environmentOngoing professional development opportunitiesCareer growth potential in early childhood educationPosition OverviewLead TeacherLead Teachers plan and deliver curriculum, foster a safe and stimulating learning environment, mentor assistant staff, and communicate regularly with families.Assistant TeacherAssistant Teachers support classroom activities, care routines, and learning experiences while ensuring a safe and positive environment for children.Infant TeacherSpecializes in the care and development of infants (ages 4 months to 12 months), providing a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment that promotes early learning and secure attachments.Key ResponsibilitiesFor Lead Teachers:Develop and implement engaging lesson plans covering literacy, math, science, and social skillsIncorporate Montessori methods and STEM-based learning strategies into daily activitiesObserve, assess, and document each child's progress; share updates with familiesMaintain structured routines while fostering creativity and explorationManage classroom behavior effectively and promote positive interactionsMentor assistant teachers, interns, and volunteersEnsure compliance with all Oregon licensing requirementsFor Assistant Teachers:Support Lead Teacher in implementing curriculum and daily routinesAssist with meals, diapering, potty training, and transitionsSupervise and engage children in both indoor and outdoor STEM and Montessori-inspired activitiesMaintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environmentFoster respectful communication with children, parents, and colleaguesFor Infant Teachers:Provide responsive, individualized care including feeding, diapering, and soothingPlan age-appropriate sensory and motor development activitiesSupport early language development through songs, reading, and conversationMaintain a calm, safe, and nurturing environment that fosters trust and securityMonitor and record developmental milestones for each infantCommunicate daily with parents about feeding, sleeping, and developmental progressEnsure compliance with all infant care health, safety, and licensing requirementsFor Both Roles:Create a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environmentCollaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the programDocument classroom activities and maintain accurate recordsSupervise children during playtime, ensuring safety and encouraging social interactionQualificationsRequired for All Roles:Passion for working with young children and supporting their growthStrong communication skills with children, parents, and staffCompletion (or willingness to complete upon hire) of:CPR/First Aid CertificationFood Handler's CardChild Abuse and Neglect Prevention TrainingSafe Sleep Training (for under age 3)Introduction to Child Care Health and SafetyEnrollment (or eligibility) in Oregon's Central Background RegistryLead Teacher Additional Requirements:At least 1-3 year or more experience in a licensed preschool or childcare settingStrong knowledge of early childhood development for ages 12 months to 6 yearsExperience creating lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and engaging familiesPreferred: Step 7+ on Oregon's OCCD Registry, degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, familiarity with Montessori principles, bilingual skillsAssistant Teacher Additional Requirements:Preferred: Experience in a licensed childcare settingStep 5+ on Oregon's OCCD Registry, high school diploma or ECE coursework a plusExperience in toddler care and understanding of developmental stages is desirableInfant Teacher Additional Requirements:At least 1 year of experience working with infants in a licensed childcare setting preferredKnowledge of safe infant care practices, including safe sleep guidelinesFamiliarity with early infant development, bonding, and attachment theoriesStep 5+ on Oregon's OCCD Registry, CDA in Infant/Toddler Care, or equivalent coursework a plusScheduleMonday to FridayFull-time and part-time shifts availableHow to ApplyPlease submit your resume and a brief cover letter to info@gigglegroveacademy.com.In the subject line, include the role you are applying for:"Lead Teacher Application""Assistant Teacher Application""Infant Teacher Application"Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, InternshipPay: From $17.00 per hour and aboveExpected hours: 40 per weekBenefits: Employee discountFlexible schedulePaid time offProfessional development assistanceReferral program Work Location: In person
