Program Coordinator
Position Summary Program Coordinator for the Thriving Texas Families Program, a grant-funded initiative by HHSC.
Role Overview Family Support Services of Amarillo seeks an experienced, compassionate leader to oversee and support the implementation of the Thriving Texas Families Program, offering services to pregnant women, parenting families, and caregivers with children ages 0–3. The Coordinator will ensure high-quality, trauma-informed, family-centered services that align with program goals, grant expectations, and the organization's mission while strengthening systems of care for vulnerable families.
Key Responsibilities Supervise and support direct service staff
Coordinate program implementation and day-to-day operations
Monitor outcomes and manage data collection
Ensure compliance with grant deliverables and reporting requirements
Assist with budgeting and financial reporting
Facilitate community partnerships, outreach, and recruitment efforts
Participate in coalition and community meetings
Provide direct assistance with service delivery and participant engagement
Identify service gaps, strengthen referral networks, and support strategic planning
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, psychology, counseling, public health, nonprofit management, education, or a related field (master's degree preferred)
Minimum of 2–3 years' experience in program coordination, case management, family services, or nonprofit leadership
Experience supervising staff or leading programs strongly preferred
Knowledge of trauma-informed care, family systems, and community-based services
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Experience with data collection, reporting, and grant compliance preferred
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
This position may require travel, attendance at community events or meetings, occasional evening activities, and outreach across the Texas Panhandle.
