About the ProjectGenover LLC is managing the deconstruction and decommissioning of the former Dunkirk Steam Generating Station — a 76-acre former coal-fired power plant on the Lake Erie shoreline in Dunkirk, New York. The site includes a 250,000+ sq. ft. powerhouse structure, coal ash ponds, CSX rail access, high-capacity transmission infrastructure, and 0.5 miles of waterfront. This is a large-scale, multi-year industrial project with significant regulatory, environmental, and logistical complexity.We are looking for an experienced, safety-first Project Manager to serve as our owner's representative on the ground — someone who can lead contractors, manage the schedule and budget, navigate regulatory compliance, and drive this project from active deconstruction through site-ready condition.📍 Position DetailsLocation: Onsite — Dunkirk, NY 14048 (Chautauqua County)Employment: Full-Time, PermanentSchedule: Monday–Friday, full-time presence required during active operationsCompensation: $90,000 – $150,000 base salary, commensurate with experienceBonuses: Performance bonuses + milestone-based incentivesReports To: Genover LLC Principal🔧 What You'll DoServe as the day-to-day owner's representative on a complex industrial deconstruction siteManage multi-trade subcontractors across demolition, abatement, environmental, and civil scopesDevelop and maintain master project schedule and cost controlsOversee hazardous material abatement programs (asbestos, PCBs, coal combustion residuals)Coordinate with NYSDEC, EPA, OSHA, and local agencies on permits, inspections, and complianceLead the site safety program — enforce HASP, conduct toolbox talks, maintain OSHA logsManage RFPs, contract awards, change orders, and subcontractor performanceInterface with National Grid on sequencing near active switchyard infrastructureDeliver bi-weekly written progress reports to ownership✅ What We're Looking ForRequired:7+ years of project management experience on heavy industrial, power generation, or large-scale demolition/decommissioning projectsDirect experience managing deconstruction or decommissioning of power plants or large industrial facilities strongly preferredExperience with hazardous materials abatement programs on brownfield or industrial sitesOSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety CertificationHAZWOPER 40-Hour Certification (or must obtain prior to start)Proficiency in CPM scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent)Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Preferred:PMP CertificationExperience working on union job sites; familiarity with building trades CBAsKnowledge of Western New York regulatory environment and local subcontractor baseExperience on NYSDEC or EPA-regulated brownfield sites💰 CompensationBase Salary$90,000 – $150,000 (based on experience)Performance BonusAnnual — tied to schedule, budget, and safety metricsMilestone BonusesPaid upon completion of key project phasesEmploymentFull-Time W-2📩 How to ApplySubmit the following to mdinh@genover.netResumeProject list — minimum 3 comparable projects (owner, value, your role, outcome)Cover letter addressing your decommissioning/demolition experienceThree professional references (at least two from supervisors or clients on comparable projects)Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
