Job Description Technician Assembler / Test:· Electro-Mechanical ConstructionIndustrial Control Systems & PanelsPCB Board AssemblyWire Harness Assembly· Customer ServicePosition Description:Performs operational tests and determines product acceptability and quality on a wide variety of electronic/electrotechnical developmental and production components, sub assemblies and systems by following specifications, standard test procedures or general written or verbal instructions.Performs the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of development. Prepares technical reports, summarizes findings and recommends solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized production equipment. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required. Applicant Qualifications/Requirements:Electronic Schools or Electronic TrainingKnowledge of AutoCAD or equivalentKnowledge of PLC design and implementationKnowledge of NEC, UL, CE and electrical industry standardsKnowledge and experience in wiring and completing switch gear controls panelsHigh level communication and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast paced environmentElectrical design capabilities and experience (5 years min.), Certificate or degree in related field.Ability to interrupt electronic assembliesFamiliarity with industry standards and specifications, UL, CE, CSA· Ability to function independently in a self-directed, goal-oriented environment· High level of organization with excellent communication skills· Familiar with test equipment: Oscilloscopes, DVMs, Signal Generators, Power Supplies, and more.· PC knowledge (including AutoCad, MS Excel, and MS Word)· PLC experience a Plus· Knowledge of standard wire/panel requirements· Must be detail-oriented and should possess good inter-personal skills to be able to interact with various departments and customers.SUMMARY: This position requires assembly, testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies and products in production. The selected candidate will work on the production floor reporting the production supervisor. Good data collection, electronics troubleshooting and failure analysis skills a plus. Good communication, oral and written skills are required. Degree or certification as an Electronic Tech preferred.
