Build Your Future with Hyphen While Our Clients Build Homes with Your Support.We Build a Trusted Homebuilder Network, Unifying the Construction Supply Chain.General DescriptionThe Account Executive, Small Business is primarily responsible for selling the Company’s products or services, developing new accounts, and/or expanding existing accounts within the homebuilding industry, with a focus on builders closing up to 100 homes annually. This position will focus on prospecting and qualifying opportunities to sell new installations of Hyphen’s supply-chain management software while recognizing additional revenue opportunities for existing clients of Hyphen’s.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThis position requires a smart, driven and passionate candidate who comes with an ability to comfortably sell into all levels of an organization. Ideally, the candidate will have some homebuilding industry knowledge and contacts, but most importantly must be able to quickly associate Hyphen’s Value Statements to the issue/pain the potential client is experiencing. The day-to-day responsibilities of this position include:Sell the company’s products and services by developing new accounts and expanding existing ones, with a focus on high visibility, strategic, and complex opportunities.Find and qualify new leads through outbound calls, emails, inbound inquiries, trade shows, marketing responses, and targeted lead lists.Conduct sales presentations, emphasize value and key features, quote pricing and terms, and prepare sales orders.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as their primary point of contact and understanding their needs to provide tailored solutions.Manage a pipeline of potential clients at least 2.5 times the monthly quota, meeting or exceeding closed/won targets and KPIs.Upsell and cross-sell to existing customers to drive account growth and increase revenue.Work closely with internal teams such as implementation, development, marketing, and outside sales to ensure smooth project delivery and aligned account activities.Identify customer concerns or potential issues and make recommendations to prevent problems or improve customer experience.Track sales activity, maintain accurate customer and lead data in CRM systems, and prepare reports on business transactions and account performance.Use independent judgment in selecting methods and strategies to achieve sales goals, leveraging internal and external resources to improve results.Skills, Qualifications & ToolsSkills: Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, organization, time management, resilience, and interpersonal skills.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred; prior experience in sales, business development, or account management is essential.Tools: Proficiency in CRM software such as Salesforce and RingCentral, and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.Career PathThe group is centered around statistical achievements as opposed to tenure. Our group is a great entry point at Hyphen. Carving a path out hear can lead to promotions into other teams and eventual leadership opportunities.TravelTravel will be required for attendance to trade shows and conferences. These are lead gathering opportunities as well as client engagement. The frequency of these shows can be one a quarter, or in some cases, more than that. These shows are held during the week and you will typically be attending with other reps from the team.
