This role will lead projects related to various HR processes within systems such as Workday, Fresh Service, and Smartsheet. You are a self-starter with a "fix and inform" mindset, a keen eye for process automation, and a history of providing a premium employee experience. The ideal candidate will have a history of enabling People systems that are scalable and drive workforce effectiveness while delivering an engaging, digital-first employee experience. You will be part of the People Operations & Technology team and will report directly to the Director, People Operations.You WillCoordinate employee life cycle processes, including onboarding, personnel file management, employee inquiries, and offboardingLead process improvement projects that will directly impact processes and events within the People Operations teamServe as a Tier 2 escalation point to ensure employee inquiries related to HR, Compensation, Payroll, Benefits, etc. are answered promptly and correctly via FreshService ticketing systemProvide support on compliance items such as US Immigration, Audits, i9 verifications, and moreProvide in-office support for various activities such as onboarding, mail, and culture building eventsPartner with the People Technology team to improve the Workday infrastructure, automate processes, implement web-based self-service features, and minimize administrative bottlenecksMaintain process documentation as well as employee self-service materialsBuild and maintain reports within Workday and Smartsheet for the People & Culture teamRefine our audit procedures including proper data reconciliations and essential control documentationAssist with Workday Testing (Business Process Updates, Workday Releases, etc.)Support other duties as assignedYou Have5+ years of related experience in HR operations or employee service center1+ years of experience managing or leading team HR projectsExcellent communication, interpersonal, and writing skills with the ability to explain technical processes to non-technical end usersStrong attention to detailAcute understanding of confidentiality and access to sensitive informationAbility to work independently, manage shifting priorities, demonstrate good personal judgmentExcellent at follow-up, with ability to deliver within defined timelinesModel a determined focus and will to succeed that is contagious; handle adversity well, recover quickly, and sustain drive over the long haulBachelor’s degree strongly preferredWorkday experience strongly preferredAdvanced level of proficiency using Microsoft Office and Google for WorkCurrent US Perks & BenefitsEmployer subsidized medical/vision and dental coverage for full-time employees401k Match to help you save for your future (50% of your contribution up to the first 6% of your eligible pay)Monthly stipend to support your work and productivityFlexible Time Away Program, plus Sick Time OffUS employees are automatically covered under Smartsheet-sponsored life insurance, short-term, and long-term disability plansUS employees receive 12 paid holidays per yearUp to 24 weeks of Parental LeavePersonal paid Volunteer Day to support our communityOpportunities for professional growth and development including access to Udemy online coursesCompany Funded Perks, including a counseling membership, local retail discounts, and your own personal Smartsheet accountTeleworking options from any registered location in the U.S. (role specific)Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location.
