We are currently seeking an experienced Civil Engineer (Transportation/Rail/Bridge) to join our growing team in Woodbridge, NJ.Position Overview The Civil Engineer will support the planning, design, and construction of complex transportation infrastructure projects, including roadway, rail, tunnel, and bridge facilities. This role is ideal for a transportation civil engineer with hands-on experience supporting DOT, rail, and large-scale infrastructure programs from design through construction.This role offers hands-on technical responsibility and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams on high-profile transportation initiatives.Key Responsibilities Support the planning, design, and construction delivery of transportation infrastructure projects, including rail, tunnel, bridge, and ancillary facilitiesPerform civil engineering design and technical support for rail corridors, tunnel structures, bridges, concrete structures, and supporting transportation infrastructureAssist with engineering tasks across multiple work packages, supporting efficient execution of large, multi-disciplinary transportation projectsPrepare, review, and coordinate design documents, calculations, and technical reports in compliance with NJDOT, AASHTO, FRA, and applicable regulationsCollaborate with structural, rail, tunnel, geotechnical, and construction teams to support integrated design and constructabilityProvide construction phase engineering support, including RFIs, shop drawing reviews, contractor coordination, and field supportParticipate in site visits and field inspections to verify compliance with design intent, contract documents, and safety requirementsCoordinate with transportation agencies, contractors, inspectors, and stakeholders to resolve design and construction issuesAssist with project schedules, budgets, documentation, and quality control activitiesPromote safety standards, QA/QC procedures, and continuous improvement practices across all infrastructure projectsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program5–8 years of professional civil engineering experience in transportation, rail, tunnel, bridge, or large-scale infrastructure projectsEngineer-in-Training (EIT) certification requiredProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredExperience supporting rail infrastructure, tunnel construction, bridge projects, or complex transportation programsWorking knowledge of NJDOT, AASHTO, FRA, and applicable federal and state design standardsProficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related civil engineering design softwareExperience working with state DOTs, rail agencies, or major transportation authorities preferredStrong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work effectively in multidisciplinary teamsCompensation & Benefits Competitive Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 annually (based on experience)Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance401(k) Retirement Plan with Company MatchPaid Time Off & Paid HolidaysPerformance-Based BonusesProfessional Development & Licensing SupportWellness perk; gym membership reimbursementEqual Opportunity Employer Garg is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
