This position focuses on observing conditions in varied environments, interacting professionally and respectfully with individuals and families, identifying potential concerns, and completing accurate documentation in accordance with established standards and guidelines.The role requires strong judgment, professionalism, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work independently while managing sensitive information. The Field Safety Specialist must be adaptable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working in dynamic field settings that require travel and flexibility.Essential Functions And ResponsibilitiesConduct in‑person field visits to observe environments and assess general safety and wellnessEngage respectfully and professionally with individuals and families during onsite visitsIdentify, document, and report potential safety or welfare concerns in accordance with established proceduresVerify required information related to household circumstances and care arrangementsPrepare clear, accurate, and timely written documentation following field activitiesMaintain situational awareness and adhere to safety guidelines while in the field and during travelCommunicate professionally and effectively with supervisors and team membersHandle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and integrityTravel regularly to assigned locations, including travel that may occur on short noticeAdapt to varying schedules, environments, and field conditionsPerform additional duties as assigned in support of operational needsKnowledge, Skills, Abilities And QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited institutionUS Citizenship requiredAssociate degree with two (2) or more years of relevant experience, or a high school diploma with four (4) or more years of relevant experience, may be substitutedMinimum two (2) years of experience in social services, case management, human‑centered services, criminal justice, law enforcement, corrections, detention, or related fieldsBilingual proficiency required: English and Spanish (speak, read, and write)Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work independently and exercise sound judgmentWillingness and ability to travel frequently within the United StatesMust possess a valid U.S. passport book or be in the process of obtaining oneValid driver’s license with an acceptable driving recordAbility to meet travel and insurance requirementsStrong computer skills including basic office software and mobile technologyWork Environment & ScheduleField‑based position requiring regular domestic travelWork is conducted in varied environments, including private residencesSchedule may include non‑traditional hours, including evenings or holidays, based on operational needsWeekend travel may be requiredRole involves standing, walking, carrying equipment, and extended time in the fieldFlexibility and adaptability are essentialRequired to make home visits 7 days per week ; 8 AM - 7 PMClearanceThe applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may be required to meet the following conditions of employmentSecurity RequirementsAbility to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance.Favorable credit check for all cleared positions.Successfully pass a background investigation, drug screen.US CitizenshipEmployment is contingent upon the ability to pass and maintain required background, security, and suitability requirements.
