Building Automation, Control System Design EngineerRole SummaryControl System Design Engineers are responsible for managing the design phase of projects, creating highly functional, cost-effective control system designs that comply with project plans and specifications. The design phase includes: Reviewing contract plans, specifications, proposals, and budgets. Developing design project delivery schedule. Designing DDC control panels, wiring schematics, and system interfaces to control building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Selecting control system products and developing project bill of materials. Documenting system sequence of operations and operating parameters. Designing BMS communication networks. Developing electrical installation wiring diagrams and scopes of work. Qualifications: Design Engineer: 3+ years of experience. A design engineer works independently on small scale control system designs, or as part of a team on large scale projects. Candidate must demonstrate an understanding of all control system basics, electrical and electronic circuits and systems, contract document review, and possess exceptional organizational and communications skills.
