We are actively seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join and grow in the PPG organization. The Quality Technician will provide support to the quality management team and ensure aerospace manufactured parts comply with strict regulatory, customer, and AS9100 quality standards by creating, preparing, updating, and organizing documentation and equipment related to the organization's quality management system (QMS). This role will require the use of mechanical inspection tools, the ability to read and understand work instructions, as well as expert attention to detail to ensure compliance, standardization, and accuracy.

Requirements
Prepare appropriate documentation by compiling technical data related to all job orders
Review and update all required quality documents to ensure the latest revisions are being followed
Read and interpret blueprints as required
Review certificates of conformity for accuracy
Review purchase orders to confirm / verify required certs, specifications, and shipping instructions / requirements
Assist with corrective actions and non-conformance responses
Ensure product compliance with customer, regulatory, and applicable industry standards per AS9100
Visually inspect parts as required
Perform part inspection utilizing mechanical inspection tools as required
Effectively communicate with department manager and other staff regarding all quality related documentation
Perform and support QC Dept with other work-related duties as assigned (i.e. Bluelight inspection)
Operate and set up to run CMMs (such as Zeiss and LK) using software like Calypso and Camio
Maintain accurate records of inspection results and generate detailed inspection reports
Maintain inspection equipment and ensure calibration standards are upheld
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or associate degree in manufacturing technology or metrology is a plus.
Demonstrated reliability and work ethic
Ability to use mechanical inspection tools, or the willingness to learn
Ability and familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
