This is not a general lab role, we are specifically targeting professionals who understand the complexities of wastewater systems, regulatory compliance, and advanced analytical methodologies.If your background includes wastewater analysis in a regulated laboratory environment, we want to connect with you.Responsibilities:You will play a vital role in ensuring water quality and environmental safety through precise, data-driven laboratory analysis:Perform advanced wastewater testing including BOD, COD, TSS, nutrients, pH, and microbiological assays (e.g., E. coli)Execute wet chemistry and microbiological techniques with a high degree of accuracy and reproducibilityCollect, preserve, and process samples in accordance with strict QA/QC and regulatory protocolsOperate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and automated sampling systemsMaintain detailed, audit-ready documentation and input data into LIMS systemsPrepare reagents, media, and standard solutions to support ongoing testingEnsure compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and laboratory accreditation requirementsRequired:Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field + 3+ years of wastewater lab experienceORAssociate degree and 5+ years of direct wastewater laboratory experienceDemonstrated expertise in wastewater analytical testing and environmental complianceStrong foundation in wet chemistry and microbiologyPreferred:Experience working in a NELAP-accredited laboratoryFamiliarity with environmental regulatory frameworks and reporting standardsAbility to obtain Wastewater Laboratory Analyst I certification within 18 monthsPhysical requirements include lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in varied environments
