With a strong reputation for both design and execution, the team manages projects end-to-end—bringing a high level of organization, communication, and care to every phase of the process.POSITION OVERVIEWWe’re looking for an interior designer who is passionate about high-end residential design and eager to take the next step in their career. This role is ideal for someone who has solid experience in project support and design development and is ready to step into greater ownership with support from firm leadership.As a small, dynamic team, we offer hands-on experience, meaningful responsibilities, and exciting opportunities for career growth. We believe in striking the perfect balance—delivering exceptional design, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment, and making sure we have fun along the way.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS include but are not limited to:Assist in managing residential renovation and decoration projects from concept to completion.Develop design concepts in alignment with the Principal’s vision.Create and present client-facing design proposals, mood boards, and materials selections.Produce technical drawings, including floor plans, elevations, and lighting/electrical plans.Research, source, and specify furniture, fixtures, finishes, and accessories.Assist with FF&E procurement, order tracking, and installation coordination.Review architectural plans and cabinet shop drawings to ensure design intent is met.Conduct site visits and collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors.Maintain organized project documentation, action lists, and digital task tracking (Asana).Support budget tracking, pricing proposals, and vendor coordination.Assist with mentoring junior designers and design assistants.Contribute fresh ideas and creativity to elevate our firm’s work.QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or a related field.4–7 years of experience in high-end residential interior design.Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign and Photoshop.Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask across multiple projects.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.Located in the East Bay or San Francisco with a reliable car.Familiarity with Canva, Houzz Pro, Slack, Asana and Airtable a plusExperience managing budgets and vendor relationships preferredWHAT WE OFFERCompetitive salary commensurate with experienceHealth Benefits: 90% coverage for health, vision, and dental insuranceWork-Life Balance: Hybrid work model with 2 days onsite/3 remote.Paid Time Off: 3 weeks PTO plus holiday break401(k) Matching: Available after one year of employmentRemote Work: Remote capability subject to Principal approvalMaternity Leave: Paid maternity leave after one year of employmentEmployee Discounts & Perks: Discounts on design-related purchasesTeam-Building Events: Flower arranging, cooking classes, SF Decorator Showcase visits, and moreHOW TO APPLY (REQUIRED) Submit resume & portfolio via email to Ashley@thestudiobloom.co (not .com)Use " Intermediate Designer - Bay Area" in the subject line.Include your resume and portfolio, which should showcase your creative vision and technical skills.
