Document Controller
Overview
In this role you will manage and govern product documentation across the lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and traceability of records. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to support controlled data, change activities, and documentation systems. You’ll drive governance improvements, audits, and timely release of engineering change notices. This contract-to-permanent opportunity emphasizes structured records, cross-functional collaboration, and scalable document control practices within a manufacturing environment.
ResponsibilitiesAdminister the product documentation platform (user access, workflow settings, configuration, reference materials)Maintain controlled records (part data, BOMs, engineering drawings, specs, test results, work instructions, quality docs)Monitor revision status, accuracy and traceability to ensure complianceCoordinate engineering and manufacturing change activities—route updates, track approvals, support timely releaseLead or support cross-functional review meetings to advance change requestsPerform routine audits of product data and controlled documents to identify gaps and strengthen governancePartner with internal teams to connect document control with business systems (manufacturing and quality platforms)Manage supplier and regulatory documentation (materials compliance records, certifications)Create performance reports, process instructions, and training resources; drive improvements in document control and change managementSupport document intake, organization, scanning and compilation to maintain complete records
