Sales Intern

SUMMARYResponsible for assisting the sales department in completing daily responsibilities as determined by the Director of Sales Accounting. Such duties will include responsibilities during Keeneland Thoroughbred Sales (September, November, January & April). Other duties will be assigned during non-sale days. Work schedule will be 10 to 20 hours a week.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Oversee internet bidding activity.Enter purchase tickets into accounting system.Assist Sales Credit Administrator in the Sales Credit Office.Review and process credit applications.Enter and maintain payment records.Supply information, maintain files and produce correspondence for sales clients.Assist with monthly sales tax returns.Contact clients to obtain up-to-date account information.Assist with preparing written documentation of accounting processes and procedures.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be currently enrolled in college.
