Job Title: Packaging AssociateJob DescriptionJoin our dynamic team as a Packaging Associate, where you will play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards. You will be involved in various tasks including verifying product specifications, operating machinery, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.ResponsibilitiesVerify de-molded products meet all specifications such as correct appearance, weight, and packaging.Operate or assist with wrapping machines and grinding equipment for shredding chocolate bars.Operate or assist with bagging equipment.Complete tasks efficiently while ensuring quality and safety procedures.Return excess materials from work orders to the designated warehouse area.Shrink-wrap or cover unwrapped chocolate on the rack.Monitor equipment to ensure good working order and report any problems to management or maintenance.Ensure Quality Assurance, Sanitation, and Safety standards are consistently met.Responsible for sanitation and clean-up at the beginning, during, and end of the shift.Verify and clearly label all products.Communicate and implement company policies and procedures.Make recommendations to management regarding improvements of efficiencies, packaging, quality, workflow, etc.Communicate effectively with others.Provide support to leads and team members in other departments as requested.Essential SkillsExperience in food production.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).Experience with packaging, labeling, and filling processes.General labor and production skills.Experience in the food industry, particularly with chocolate manufacturing.Additional Skills & QualificationsBilingual abilities are a must.Why Work Here?This role is crucial and carries significant responsibility, offering you an opportunity to make impactful contributions and grow within a respected company.Work EnvironmentYou will work in a production environment, closely collaborating with other production workers to ensure seamless operations.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Berkeley, CA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
