Job DescriptionDepartment of HealthAdministrative Assistant for Administration, Admissions and RecreationAdministrative assistant duties and responsibilities include providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. Administrative assistants are responsible for confidential and time sensitive material. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.Duties/Responsibilities:Answers telephone and gives information to callers, takes messages, and transfers calls to appropriate individuals.Greets visitors or callers and handles their inquiries; or directs them to the appropriate persons.Opens, reads, routes, and distributes incoming mail or other materials and answers routine letters.Uses various information technology applications such as email, database, spreadsheets and word processing applications.Maintains scheduling and event calendars.
