Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
About the OpportunityOur client, a prominent fintech platform specializing in connecting wealth advisors and high-net-worth clients to alternative investment opportunities, is seeking a Software Developer in Test at the Assistant Vice President level. This individual will work closely with engineering and product teams to enhance, implement, and maintain robust automated testing frameworks within a complex and dynamic environment. The role provides high visibility and requires hands-on technical expertise, collaborative skills, and the ability to drive quality initiatives across agile development teams.The annual base salary range is $145,000 to $175,000. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.Job ResponsibilitiesBuild and maintain automated test suites, ensuring seamless integration with existing build and deployment processesEnhance automated testing frameworks and adapt tests to system architecture changesIntegrate automation frameworks with tools such as JIRA and manage defect workflows in automated test executionDesign, implement, and publish metrics to assess automation test creation and executionDevelop and deploy performance testing suites and execute a variety of test types, including functional, API, automation, performance, and load testingCollaborate with engineering and product teams to support feature-based testing initiativesDrive testing strategies in an agile development environment, supporting continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) standardsJob RequirementsMinimum of 8 years QA engineering experience, including delivery ownershipAt least 4 years’ experience working within Agile teams with exposure to CI/CD processesAdvanced programming skills in Java with emphasis on behavior-driven development (BDD), test-driven development (TDD), and design patternsExperience with Java microservices, REST APIs, and working knowledge of React front endProficiency in Agile methodologies and development tools such as IntelliJ/Eclipse, Maven, Sonar, Git, TeamCity/Jenkins, and DockerFamiliarity with AI integration is preferredBackground in banking or finance environments highly valuedTesting expertise with tools including Junit, Playwright, Protractor, JMeter, or comparable frameworksStrong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively across cross-functional teams
