About the Opportunity:The Software Developer (UI/UX) is responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining business systems and web applications. The role involves coding user interfaces, developing new software features, and ensuring systems meet operational deadlines. This position contributes to optimizing system functionality and user experience across multiple platforms, supporting the organization’s mission to deliver effective IT solutions.3. Responsibilities:Develop and design requirements for new and existing business systemsDevelop, test, and release significant updates to existing systemsPlan and execute version upgrades to comply with Navy Functional Area Manager deadlinesCode and deliver user interfaces, including new and modified web applicationsManage source code using version control toolsCode UI using HTML, CSS, and JavaScriptProgram using object-oriented languages such as Java or .NETUse IDEs to write and debug codeTroubleshoot and support web applications across browsers like Chrome and EdgeCollaborate on shared code bases using tools like GITConfigure and operate web application servers4. Requirements:Experience with software for graphic design, video editing, web development, and photography (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Visio)Skills in creating banners and iconsUI/UX experience across platformsAccredited BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent experienceMinimum five years in software development technologiesExperience in translating requirements into functional softwareParticipation in design discussions and code reviewsDevelopment and maintenance of unit testsSecurity review experience for code and dataDatabase building based on approved designsDoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, or SSCP)U.S. Citizenship and active DoD security clearance5.
