Laser Operator

Our teams consistently bring their “A” game to every project.The Laser Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. This role supports production goals by ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThese essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Set up and operate CNC laser cutting machinesLoad/unload raw materialsRead and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and work ordersAdjust machine settings for optimal cuttingPerform first-piece and in-process inspectionsDeburr, clean, or prep parts as neededMonitor machine performance and troubleshoot minor issuesPerform routine maintenanceMaintain production logs and documentationFollow all safety procedures and PPE requirementsCoordinate with programmers, supervisors and other departmentsQualifications & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED (technical training is a plus)1-3+ years of CNC or laser cutting experienceStrong attention to detail and quality controlExperience with sheet metal fabricationFamiliarity with CNC controlsAbility to read blueprints and use measuring toolsAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentShop/manufacturing environmentAbility to stand for long periods on concrete floorsAbility to lift up to 75 lbs.Bend, squat, twist, and reach while loading/unloading laser tablesExposure to noise, dust, and industrial environmentsUse hands and arms in moderately strenuous tasksThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
