Description - What You'll Be Doing Conduct a range of routine and advanced clinical laboratory analyses-including chemistry, hematology, and immunology-while strictly following established protocols. Evaluate test results for quality and accuracy, address any discrepancies, and carry out preventative maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments. Assist in the collection of specimens and prepare samples as necessary for testing. Keep detailed records of all procedures, train newcomers, and contribute to maintaining high quality control standards in the lab. Ensure a clean, safe working environment and strictly adhere to all regulatory and accreditation requirements. Education A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent allied health degree, with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification. Certifications ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be obtained within the first year of employment. Maintain current certification throughout the duration of employment. Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with medical teams. Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem solve effectively in fast-paced or challenging situations.
