Production Control Manager

Job Title: Production ManagerLocation: Forest, Mississippi, United StatesJob Type: Full-TimeRelocation Assistance: AvailableJOB RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for supply chain for the plant.Work with suppliers, production managers, purchasing, production planners, I/T, sales, and other appropriate resources to strategically plan and coordinate the flow of materials and information from customers through procurement to delivery.In-charge of inventory control and management of bought-in components, intermediate work in progress, and finished goods.Lead efforts to achieve the Days on Hand Inventory KPI target.Lead and manage all Production Control personnel, including salaried and hourly staff.Monitor shipping and receiving performance and investigate discrepancies to resolve and eliminate process deficiencies.Manage the department and achieve department targets.Create department policies and activity plans to improve efficiency of deliverables.Prepare fiscal year expense, capital, and labor budgets for the Production Control department.Work well with cross-functional teams and supporters.Actively support and implement Lean principles.Benchmark world-class supplier management systems and implement best practices.Provide professional development for all Production Control team members.Explain and support company policies and procedures.Maintain the warehouse, including receiving and shipping, based on the company's production system principles and standards.Be willing to work off-shift and overtime as needed.Be willing to travel if needed for training.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or an Associate's degree with extensive experience.5+ years of work experience as a Production Control or Inventory Control Manager.Proficiency in ERP systems, MRP, and data analysis.Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.Ability to work in a high-paced work environment.
