This is not a coordination role or single-project ownership position. You will own the execution of multiple concurrent deployments and programs spanning battery energy storage systems, energy management software, hardware integrations, manufacturing, and customer projects running simultaneously at different stages.You will be the person who sees around corners, surfaces blockers before they become problems, and holds the line on timelines without needing to be asked. You will work directly with engineering, field ops, and leadership.What You'll DoOwn multiple concurrent BESS and utility scale projects at different lifecycle stages simultaneouslyMaintain detailed program plans across all active projects including scope, schedule, budget tracking, risk registers, and milestone accountabilityCoordinate across internal engineering, procurement, production, field ops, and logistics to sequence work correctly and surface interdependencies before they create delaysOwn risk identification and mitigation across all active programs: track open issues, drive resolution, solve risk interdependencies and keep leadership informed without waiting to be askedManage external partners, subcontractors, and equipment vendors to contractual milestones, hold them accountable, and escalate when neededBuild and maintain the program infrastructure Critical Loop: source of truth process, tracking systems, reporting, success metrics (define & measure), milestone review cadences, and escalation pathsTranslate complex technical and schedule realities into clear, accurate communication for customers, utility stakeholders, and internal leadershipIdentify patterns across projects and feed learnings back into how the team scopes and plans future programsMust-HavesHas owned multiple complex, customer-facing projects/ programs simultaneously from kickoff through delivery on timelines and can operate in ambiguity on compressed or accelerated deployment timelines . Understands how to sequence work across engineering, procurement, operations, and external vendors. Has owned customer and external partner relationships directly, including difficult conversations, running status meetings, and managing deliverable schedules. Can hold a detailed program schedule with real dependency logic, not just a list of milestones, and knows how to recover when the schedule slipsHas managed external vendors, subcontractors, and equipment suppliers to contractual commitments and knows how to apply pressure without burning relationshipsComfortable operating in a hardware and field deployment context: understands commissioning sequences, site logistics, and what it actually takes to get a system energizedCan build a program structure from nothing and does not wait for process, tools, or a PMO to exist before creating themMust be willing to travel up to 25% of the timeNice-to-HavesBackground in commercial energy, infrastructure, manufacturing, orExperience managing programs that span both hardware development and field executionFamiliarity with supply chain constraints in a physical product companyDirect experience with utility interconnection processes, permission to operate timelines, or NTP-to-energization workflowsBackground managing BESS projects at both utility scale (10MW and above) and C&I scale (100kW to 10MW)Familiarity with EPC contract structures, change order management, and project finance milestonesExperience building or formalizing a program management function at a hardware or energy companyPMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalentHas worked in a startup environment without an implemented PM software or procedures and understands what it means to own outcomes without organizational supportWork Authorization We are not able to offer visa sponsorship for this role.
