This role leads family-focused initiatives, supervises facilitators, and collaborates closely with schools and community partners to support the healthy development of youth and families across Eagle County. This position requires a dynamic, relationship-driven professional who is passionate about family engagement, community education, and positive youth development. Mountain Youth Team Member Expectations All Mountain Youth team members are expected to: Be a champion for youth and advocate for policies, practices, and efforts that support their overall healthy development Leverage opportunities to develop impactful partnerships Ensure youth are recognized as valued partners in our work and in the community Ensure community members are recognized as valued partners in our work and in the community Maintain positive staff and board relations Support in fundraising efforts and sustainability strategies to maintain the overall work of the organization Participate in regular one-on-one, team, and committee meetings to align different efforts and resources across the organization Represent Mountain Youth through collaborative projects as needed Willingness and commitment to prevention specialist training and professional development Maintain Mountain Youth internal database and tracking systems in a timely manner Support with other Mountain Youth projects, newsletter and communication strategies, and events Perform general office duties and other duties as assigned Core Responsibilities Focus Area 1: Family Health, Connection, and Engagement Goal: Strengthen family connections and access to educational supports that promote healthier lives for youth and families. Manage and deliver family prevention and early intervention programming in English and Spanish Coordinate and oversee evidencebased programs such as We Hear U, Guiding Good Choices, and the Family Advisory Committee Manage program intake and scheduling with referring agencies, families, and facilitators Recruit, hire, train, and supervise early intervention facilitators in partnership with the Director of Community Education and Engagement Facilitate prevention and early intervention programs as needed, including but not limited to Guiding Good Choices and We Hear U. Focus Area 2: Community Education Goal: Increase community engagement in behavioral health education and prevention efforts. Lead yearround community education programming in English and Spanish, overseeing event logistics, contractors, and execution. Oversee development, evaluation, and continuous improvement of program goals and objectives Synthesize community needs using data, assessments, partner input, youth voice, and family feedback Translate findings into responsive, relevant education and training opportunities Lead internal and collaborative groups, including the Youth, Family, and Community Education and Engagement Committee Build crosssector partnerships with families, schools, vendors, and community organizations to deliver joint educational events Program Management & Leadership Responsibilities Relationship Cultivation: Serve as a primary liaison between Mountain Youth, schools, facilitators, and partner organizations to ensure effective program delivery Strategic Planning: Guide program growth and alignment with organizational strategic plans and communityidentified priorities Review evaluation data and partner feedback to strengthen and adapt programming Attend relevant trainings to enhance facilitation, evaluation, and leadership skills Program Oversight: Ensure highquality implementation of evidencebased programming Manage facilitator onboarding, professional development, coaching, and performance Coordinate program logistics, materials, and supplies Monitor fidelity, collect surveys, maintain tracking tools, and support evaluation and grant reporting in collaboration with the Director of Strategic Impact Referral Coordination: Collaborate with schools and partners to identify families needing targeted prevention or early intervention services and coordinate referrals Community Collaboration: Participate in outreach efforts and regional coalitions, including resource referral networks and prevention collaborations, as assigned Qualifications & Experience Demonstrated commitment to positive youth, family, and community development Bilingual English/Spanish and multicultural experience strongly preferred Knowledge of the Eagle River Valley and local youth and family agencies strongly preferred Experience in nonprofit work, community education, program management, youth development, substance use prevention, or family education (or equivalent combination of experience and education) Skills & Competencies Ability to work independently while thriving on a collaborative team Strong written, verbal, and publicspeaking skills Comfortable facilitating meetings and programs with diverse stakeholders Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Adaptable, creative, and responsive to changing community needs Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, databases, and social media platforms Evening and weekend work commitments will be expected Willingness to travel throughout the Eagle River Valley and occasionally statewide Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $63,500–$69,500, depending on experience Comprehensive benefits package including: Group health insurance Paid professional development Flexible and remote work options Paid holidays and sick time Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Annual wellness stipend Application Instructions Please submit a resume and cover letter to sbratschie@mountainyouth.org About Mountain Youth Mission: To continuously and collaboratively improve the lives of youth in the most powerful ways possible Vision: All youth in our community thrive Values: Trusted Leadership · Inclusivity · Bridging Community · Positive Youth Development Salary/Compensation: $63,500 - $69,500 per year recblid 1z5rdb3bfob6gfztyc7n19l3fe423v
