DescriptionTechnical TrainingManager(TTP Mgr.)Plan, direct, or coordinate the training and development activities and staff of the Technical Training Program for Supervisors (TTP).TasksAssess andAnalyze training needsthrough surveys, interviews with employees, focus groups, or consultation with managersto develop new training programs ormodifyand improve existing programs.Design, plan, organize, or direct orientationand training programs for new and current supervisors.Offer specific training programs to help workersmaintainor improve job skillsPresent information using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, or lectures.Evaluate instructor performance and the effectiveness of training programs, providing recommendations for improvement.Plan, develop, and provide training and staff development programs, using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.Confer with management and conduct surveys toidentifytraining needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.Obtain, organize, or develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.KnowledgeEducation and Training — Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
