Job Title: Facilities and Grounds Maintenance ManagerDepartment: Operations Support: Grounds MaintenanceLocation: Sioux Center, IA Reports To: Business Unit Leader Job Type: Full time, onsite Job SummaryThe Support Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of maintenance, repair, and operational support activities across multiple facilities and grounds. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance plans, leading a team of support staff, and ensuring operational excellence. The Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining facility integrity, driving operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Essential Job FunctionsDevelop and implement maintenance plans and quality standards for facilities, grounds, vehicles, and equipmentManage workflow, scheduling, and resource allocation across multiple sitesOversee contractor relationships and large-scale maintenance projectsEnsure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory requirements and bio-security measures aDirect critical systems maintenance, including power systems and waste managementCoordinate with Production teams on facility preparations for operational activitiesCollaborate with other department heads to align facility management with business objectivesDrive continuous improvement initiatives in support operations, targeting cost reduction where possibleManage and oversee Truck Wash procedures to ensure all vehicles requiring washing and sanitizing are completed and properly documented per bio-security guidanceResponsible for equipment maintenance requests, work orders, and purchase ordersProcure the appropriate tools, equipment, supplies and training for shop operationsDeliver prompt, professional solutions for customer inquiries and suggest service improvementsAssist with the purchase of vehicles and equipment to enhance operationsManage emergency repairs and oversee preventative maintenance for all vehicles and equipmentProvide guidance on the scheduling, dispatch operations, and vendor relationships for vehicle servicesDevelop and implement fleet maintenance schedules and vehicle replacement programsTrack vehicle performance, identify areas for improvement, optimize efficiencyOther duties as assignedRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience5+ years of experience in facilities management or support operations3+ years in a leadership roleComprehensive knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and regulatory requirementsStrong leadership and team management skillsProficiency in project management and financial analysisExcellent problem-solving and strategic planning abilitiesPreferred QualificationsExperience in agricultural or food production facilitiesFamiliarity with regulatory requirements in the agriculture industryKnowledge of energy management and sustainability practicesExperience with facilities management software and CMMS systemsWork EnvironmentThis position involves a mix of office work and on-site facility management across multiple locations. The role requires regular travel between facilities to oversee operations and conduct inspections. Some physical demands include navigating various facility areas, including occasional work at heights or in confined spaces. The Manager must be comfortable in diverse environments, from office settings to production facilities.
