The Business Development Manager should be good at development, troubleshooting, and closing a sale. Ideal candidate should be able to anticipate customer needs and make suggestions to enhance current or future locations. Responsibilities for the Business Development ManagerResearch and identify potential clients for our landscaping and snow removal services.Call on prospective clients, seek out, and build relationships with key decision-makers in these organizations.Work with other team members to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs and concerns.Handle objections by clarifying, emphasizing agreements, and working through differences to result in a positive outcome.Attend industry functions and stay abreast of market trends.Be prepared to educate potential clients on current landscaping trends and practices.Follow all company policies and procedures.Requirements for the Business Development ManagerBachelor’s degree or equivalent years of experience 3-5 years of business-to-business sales experienceStrong computer skills in the Microsoft Suite and CRM systemsStrong communication, written, and formal presentation skillsProficiency in closing the saleSelf-motivated, proactive, results-oriented professional with an ability to work with minimum directionStrong project management and customer relations skillsA positive attitude and a knack for working in a cooperative team environmentMust be extremely organizedExcellent interpersonal skills with an outgoing personalityAble to frequently local travel and must be able to offer flexibility with work hours outside of regular business hours to meet client needs. This position may require working from various locations or from home, as needed.Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record to meet fleet insurance standards Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test
