This position is responsible for aligning with our vision to be the first "World Class Provider" of facility services and sharing it with others to the highest level of excellence daily.Additionally, you will provide valuable support services and functions to the Operations team, ensuring customer satisfaction. These include specialized inventory management knowledge and skills as well as receiving, shipping, and moving of a wide variety of office furniture within the warehouse for clients located in our local market and surrounding areas. Acts as a team player and presents themselves in a professional manner. A fully qualified Inventory Specialist has demonstrated and is highly skilled in inventory techniques and information management, works independently or with minimal supervision and coordinates small warehouse related projects at the direction of others.PRINCIPLE DUTIESShips and receives through inventory management and data entry, a variety of commercial furniture and associated resources to support client projectsSafety consciousness - wears appropriate PPE and identifies safety hazardsIdentifies styles of furniture, parts and pieces, paint colors, laminates, and fabric stylesCoordinate and executes movement of product, pulling and/or putting product into racksAssists supervisor in job responsibilities when asked/delegatedCommunicates effectively with customers and peersMaintains overall job quality and accuracy of their work and othersInventories product into locations accuratelyStages and stores product minimizing damageMaintains space utilization to maximize value to customerPulling outbound product accurately and timelyCheck-off process for new product outboundReconciling receiving paperwork to Delivery TicketsManagement of crates movement in/outLeads 1-4 person when job requiresFamiliar with use of barcode scanner and Snaptracker inventory programPAPERWORKAdheres to necessary processes to ensure accurate records.Verifies own hours each day through ServiceTRAX - Approve My TimeAssists in documenting change and damage during the warehouse processUnderstands and accurately completes customer's paperwork when appropriateCreates work orders in inventory systems- follows standard work best practicesINITIATIVEDemonstrates ability to work through active participation in daily responsibilities.Arrives to work on-time and in uniform at start of dayActively seeks additional tasks upon completion of those assigned to them and performs to expectations of jobVolunteers to assists /cross-training in a positive manner with other Team MembersEMPLOYEE/CUSTOMER RELATIONSProvides effective communication/service to others and ensures following appropriate policy/procedures as designated by company.Projects a positive and favorable appearance of himself/herself and of the companyConducts themselves professionally and acts appropriately always while on the job or in uniformAccepts, understands, and responds positively to feedback from superiors regarding performance or other issuesRespects co-workers, clients, and their belongingsPromotes a safe work environment through active participation in company-sponsored programs and on the job processesComplies with company policies and procedures as defined in the employee handbook and other business operating practicesTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
