Production Operator - All Shifts
Production Operator(Machine Operator / Cut-Off Operator / Rover)Location: La Crosse, WIABR Employment Services is hiring Production Operators for a fiberglass manufacturing environment. In this role, you will have a primary assignment (Machine Operator, Cut-Off Operator, or Rover), and you will be required to cross-train in all three areas to support production needs.Shifts and Pay1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:45am–3:00pm, $18–$19/hr2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:45pm–11:00pm, $20–$21/hr3rd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 9:45pm–8:00am, $21–$22/hr4th Shift (Weekend Days): Friday–Sunday, 6:45am–7:00pm, $22–$23/hr5th Shift (Weekend Nights): Friday–Sunday, 6:45pm–7:00am, $23–$24/hrYou'll support safe, efficient production while meeting quality standards. Depending on your primary area, responsibilities include the following:Machine OperatorOperate pultrusion production lines (pullers, saws, guiding systems, control panels).Read and interpret production orders/setup sheets (materials, machine speeds, quality specs).Load/maintain fiberglass reinforcements and ensure proper resin saturation.Adjust clamping pads/components to prevent slipping/cracking.Monitor/adjust settings such as temperatures, line speeds, curing parameters (within guidelines).Perform in-process quality checks using measuring tools (tape measure, calipers).Complete changeovers, clean tooling/equipment (including approved solvents per procedure), and document production/quality.Cut-Off Operator Safely operate cut-off saws to cut product to specified lengths/tolerances.Read production orders and verify cut-length requirements.Measure/verify finished product dimensions using tape measure/calipers.Stage/prepare finished product for packaging or secondary processing.Assist with blade changes/equipment adjustments following lockout/tagout (as trained).Maintain housekeeping and complete required documentation.Rover / Material Handler Support multiple production lines by keeping material flowing and staging reinforcements/materials.Assist operators with start-ups, shut-downs, and changeovers.Transport finished product/materials to designated areas.Help with visual inspections and basic dimensional checks (as directed).Identify/report safety hazards and help keep areas clean/organized.May assist with basic adjustments/minor maintenance under supervision.Rover requirement:Must be comfortable using a scissor lift with a harness (up to about 15–20 feet).Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; good communication and teamwork.Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail (quality and safety focus).Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage priorities.Measurement skills are a plus (tape measure; calipers helpful).Prior manufacturing experience is preferred (role-dependent, not always required).Standing/walking on concrete for long periods (typically 8–12 hours).Frequent lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs; occasional heavier lifting with help.Repetitive hand/arm movements; bending/stooping/reaching; occasional steps/ladders.Manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, heat, and fiberglass/resin-related odors/dust/fumes; PPE required (examples may include safety glasses, gloves, cut-resistant sleeves, steel-toe footwear, hearing protection, and respirator when required).ABR Employment Services is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
