Why do we need you ?SummaryThe Material Handler is responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and preparation of materials to support production and customer requirements. This role involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, preparing raw materials to specification, and maintaining quality and safety standards throughout the process.Compensation: $23.00/hour (depending on experience)Shift: Monday-Wednesday: 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM & Thursdays: 6:00 PM to 12:00 AMThis schedule may vary due to production needsJob Responsibilities:Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, store, and retrieve materials within the facilityLoad and unload incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentationPrepare materials for production by measuring, weighing, labeling, and verifying materials to job specificationsInspect, record, package, and palletize materials and finished goodsMaintain cleanliness of equipment and work areasPerform routine inspections and basic maintenance on forklifts and related equipmentIdentify and resolve routine operational issues; escalate complex issues as neededFollow all safety, quality, and operational proceduresPerform all duties in accordance with safety rules and regulations and complete other tasks as assigned by management.Is this job for you ?Qualifications:1+ years' experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.Demonstrated ability to work independently staying on task and organized.Proven capability to operate multiple pieces of equipment effectively.Proficiency in comprehending safety rules and regulations.Physical Demands & Work Conditions:Industrial Equipment: Must be able to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safelyManufacturing environment: Work is conducted in a manufacturing setting with exposure to various production equipment and materials.Standing: Standing for the majority of the workday, approximately 90% of the time.Physical Tasks: Role involves some physical labor, including lifting, kneeling, bending, crawling, and other movements. Lifting up to 50 pounds on a daily basisLifting Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis as part of daily tasks.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Use of PPE, including safety goggles, gloves, and safety toed shoes, to ensure personal safety.A team ready to welcome youCertain locations require pay information be provided in job postings. In addition to the hourly base pay rate, this position is eligible for periodic bonus payments/an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount can be up to 0-7% of hourly rate based on company and individual performance measures.
