Asphalt Distributor Operator/Driver Join our dynamic team as an Asphalt Distributor Operator/Driver! In this vital role, you will operate a tack or distributor truck (2,000-gallon capacity) to transport and apply emulsion for paving projects. You'll play a crucial part in ensuring quality roadwork while prioritizing safety and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Operate heavy equipmentincluding distributor truckssafely and efficiently on a variety of construction sites. Strictly adhere to all company policies and OSHA/MSHA safety regulations; report any safety or equipment issues promptly to supervisory staff. Follow the daily instructions and project expectations set by the Foreman. Perform routine equipment maintenance and inspections, accurately documenting findings. Load trucks from emulsion tanks and skillfully apply emulsion to road surfaces ahead of paving operations. Maintain accurate truck logs in compliance with state and federal laws. Assist in training and mentoring less-experienced team members on safe and proper equipment operation. Exhibit consistent and reliable attendance. Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team's success. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred. 1-2 years of related driving or equipment operation experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid CDL A driver's license required; Tanker and Hazmat endorsements are a strong plus. DOT Medical Card preferred, but not required. Must be at least 18 years old. Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check. Skills and Abilities: Proficient operation of heavy equipment (distributor trucks, etc.) under varied conditions, using sound judgment and skill. Solid understanding of construction materials, methods, and tools. Familiarity with jobsite hazards and safety precautions associated with heavy equipment and roadwork. Ability to read and interpret plans, keep accurate records, and perform basic math calculations. Clear verbal and written communication skills. Team player mindsetwilling to assist coworkers across tasks and projects. Physical & Work Environment Requirements: Frequently required to climb, balance, and perform tasks involving physical agility. Regularly sit, climb, and use hand signals or equipment; occasionally stand, walk, crawl, kneel, bend, stoop, crouch, or reach above shoulder height. Lift and move objects weighing up to 25-50 lbs as needed. Work primarily outdoors, often in extreme weather and environmental conditions. Must have specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception, to operate equipment safely. Why Join Us?
