Real Estate Finance AnalystOverviewA highly regarded investment management firm focused on real assets is seeking a Real Estate Finance Analyst to join its Chicago-based team. This is a unique opportunity to work within a lean, collaborative finance group supporting a diversified portfolio of long-term investments across global markets.The team operates across several core functions including investor reporting, performance and valuations, operations, and financial compliance. This role offers strong exposure to senior leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to develop both broad and specialized skill sets within a dynamic investment environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of quarterly, annual, and ad hoc investor reporting materials for institutional stakeholdersSupport development of fund-level presentations, including annual business plans and performance updatesCompile and review investment-level reporting, including performance metrics, market commentary, and strategic updatesMaintain and manage data within reporting and portfolio management systemsSupport valuation-related materials during audit processesTrack and analyze portfolio performance across investmentsAssist in preparing and maintaining valuation analyses and supporting materialsConduct market research to evaluate industry trends and benchmark assumptionsSupport ad hoc analyses for strategic initiatives and investment decisionsAssist with cash planning, capital activity, and funding coordinationSupport capital forecasting and tracking initiativesHelp manage internal workflows between finance and accounting teamsContribute to liquidity and credit-related processes as neededAssist with corporate governance processes, including documentation tracking and organizationSupport periodic compliance initiatives such as regulatory filings and internal policy updatesQualifications2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field (public accounting, investment management, or financial services preferred)Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related disciplineStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detailInterest in real assets or investment managementProficiency in Excel; exposure to data tools or financial systems is a plusStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesEffective written and verbal communication skillsSelf-starter with a proactive mindset and ability to work in a team-oriented environmentWhat This Role OffersExposure to a broad set of finance functions within a single roleOpportunity to work closely with senior professionals and global teamsA collaborative, high-performing culture within a lean team structureStrong foundation for long-term growth within investment managementThe Equus Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer and takes pride in maintaining a diverse environment.
