*Job Title Multi-Categorical Special Education Teacher *Job Type Certified - Position - Special Education Teacher Middle School Job Type Description Berkeley County Schools seeks qualified applicants for a Multi-Categorical Special Education Teacher. Successful applicant will work with identified MD students in accordance with their IEP's in grades 6-8, ensure all procedural safeguards are followed; provide appropriate instruction to assist IEP students in reaching goals; establishing and following behavior management plans, along with other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Salary Schedule Berkeley County Schools Teacher Pay Scale based upon degree level and verified years of experience. 200-day employment term. If a NBCT accepts the position, they will be paid an additional $2000 stipend in addition to their salary, benefits, and NBCT stipend. Specialized Skills A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and hold or be eligible for West Virginia licensure with endorsement(s) in Multi-categorical Special Education with appropriate grade levels. ABA trained is preferred but the successful applicant will be provided ABA training if needed. Additional Job Information If a certified candidate is unavailable for this position, then an applicant who is eligible for a first-class permit, alternative certification, Teacher-in-Residence, or a perm sub can be considered.
